The Oakville Sculptors & Woodcarvers Guild will be holding 6 Wednesday evening sessions from 6:30pm to 9:30pm starting on Feb 21st 2018 and ending on March 28th 2018 at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre woodworking room. The cost for these 6 sessions is $40.00 and is payable on the first day of attendance by cheque, cash or e-transfer to the Guild.

During the 6 weeks some of our members will be on hand to offer you guidance and suggestions for your project - which may be something of your choosing or our current suggestion - 'Carving a Wooden Spoon'.

We will supply the wood for a minimal cost (between $5,00 - $10.00 per piece) or you can bring your own,
The size would be 12" long 2"x2" with your choice of wood (basswood, pine, popular or cherry)
If you have a 'green' tree limb about the size required we could use it to cut the blank for you. Birch is perhaps the best for this.
Tools carving chisels, knives, protective gloves are available to be borrowed. A pencil, eraser and short measure are useful items to bring with you.

Pre registration is required as there are only 12 spots available - we are sorry but these sessions are for adults only.

We hope you enjoyed your last project with us and look forward to seeing you again, should you have any questions and to register please contact me.
