Wood Studio

The wood studio comes equipped with tools (both power and hand tools) to facilitate all types of wood working. There are eight work benches and a bench for the instructor who will have a screen and equipment for teaching.

The studio has sanders, grinders, drill press and two band saws. Heavier equipment includes a lathe, planer, compound miter saw and table saw.Dust collection for the large equipment is provided by a large dust collector situated in an alcove outside the building. There are dedicated dust collectors over each of the work benches. Two portable dust collectors are also available.

 

Stone and Clay Studio

The stone and clay studio provides space for six sculptors. It is well equipped with its own dust filter and also compressed air for pneumatic tools. There is an overhead door for moving large stone pieces and room for one large sculpture at a time. It has a sink with a trap which can be used for final polishing and finishing of sculptures.
